APOPTYGMA BERZERK – Welcome to earth

Obviously I don't like Apoptygma Berzerk. What I wonder about is why people do? Well, I guess some people just need more pet shop boys in their life. I was going to give this album a bad review, but then I had second thoughts. In truth, for what it is, is most likely pretty good. So what this review will end up being is a combination of bad and good (but with a leaning towards the bad) If you like Pet Shop Boys, synth-pop or "Hit Dance Trax Vol. 15 (not available in stores) from quality records" style techno-like tripe, then run out and buy this album. Lots of you do, and lots of you will. Apoptygma Berzerk are on there way, possibly to getting an actual hit album that scores real big record sales and perhaps a billboard chart listing, but at the same time, they are a long way from being the sort of music that I like and listen to. Clubs will play their stuff the same way clubs play Depeche Mode. It's catchy and danceable.
