Dr. Lektroluv presents – Elektrik Planet

The mysterious Dr. Lektroluv takes a break from his club deck duties to embrace the Elektrik Planet with his latest instalment of electro – old and new. Following last year’s ‘Dr. Lektroluv’ which brought us the likes of Abe Duque, Break 3000, Solvent, Anthony Rother, Drexciya, Robotnick, Fad Gadget and Telex comes a new slice of elektro fun with LCD Soundsystem’s hotly tipped next single ‘Disco Infiltrator’, Silicon Soul, The Emperor Machine, Alden Tyrell, the hard to find ‘Headhunter’ from EBM legend’s Front 242, In Flagranti, Plastic Bertrand and four exclusive tracks all thrown into the melting pot. Once again we get a selection that pitches today’s current players with those hard to find old school classics that peppered the tail end of the 70’s and announced the 80’s with a new electronic twist. However the good Doctor has also rolled his sleeves up and dug that little bit deeper to bring us four exclusive and brand new electro cuts from today’s finest electronic craftsmen. From Finland we have Bangkok Impact with another slice of futuristic italo-disco in the shape of ‘111’ whilst Lasergun Records and Gigolo man Savas Pascalidis brings us a homage to the club Mecca of Belgium’s 80’s New Beat scene with ‘Boccaccio Life’. Meanwhile techno legend Steve Rachmad delivers some extra special ‘R Funk’ under his Sterac Electronics guise and the Mysterymen provide some wonderful treated vocals on their exclusive pop-electro cut ‘Infrared’. Fusing angular rhythms, sleazy vocals, four exclusive tracks and the old and new, Elektrik Planet provides yet another vibrant selection for elektro lovers everywhere.
