M.A.N.D.Y. Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung have worked together as Producers and as a DJ duo since 1992. Supported by almost 10 years of experience, the two friends began using the project name M.A.N.D.Y. for their musical endeavours in 2002. In that same year they called upon their colleagues and friends Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger (aka Booka Shade), Peter Hayo and Thomas Koch (aka DJ T. and the founder and longtime editor of groove magazine) to help found the label GET PHYSICAL MUSIC as a platform for their own productions.
M.A.N.D.Y. tracks and their collaborations with other Get Physical artists such as Chelonis R. Jones or the Sunsetpeople, amount to 9 releases in the Get Physical catalogue to date. With their work for artists like Sugababes, Freeform Five, Joakim, Mylo, Seelenluft, Röyskopp, The Knife and many others, M.A.N.D.Y. have defined themselves internationally as a dependable address for outstanding remixes.
M.A.N.D.Y. also enjoy international acclaim as a DJ team. They balance two residencies in Germany: one at the Monza in Frankfurt and the other at F.U.N./Weekend in Berlin. Some of their prestige international bookings in 2004 include Mondo (Madrid), Pulp (Paris), Goa (Rome), Cocoon (Ibiza) and Lux (Lisbon).
BODY LANGUAGE is the first of a new series of mix compilations from GET PHYSICAL MUSIC. BODY LANGUAGE aims to become a brand name known for first class mixing and track selection, offering GET PHYSICAL artists and friends from other labels the opportunity to present their own sound.
In Volume 1 of the series, most of the tracks that M.A.N.D.Y. chose were produced by friends – adding a personal touch to the mix. The mix includes 20 tracks and remixes from artists such as James Holden, Robag Wruhme, Mathew Jonson, Tiefschwarz, Recloose and Luciano.
Some of the highlights of the mix include the title track ‘Body Language’ from M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade, the gargantuan Robag Wruhme remix of Slam “This World,” James Holden’s version of Andre Kraml’s ‘’Safari,’’ Ricardo Villalobos’ remix of DJ Minx’s ‘’Walk in the Park’’ as well as the to date unreleased tracks from Booka Shade, Willzoid (a bandmember of Mylo) and Sunsetpeople.
BODY LANGUAGE is an affectionately mixed showcase of Bodmer and Jung’s DJ skills and sets the bar high for those to follow.
